Having attended the event on 11 January, I witnessed firsthand some of the most thrilling moments, starting with the Predator League 2025 Press Conference. Acer unveiled not only the event’s ambitious vision but also their latest cutting-edge gaming products during the Acer New Product Hands-On Session. It was a treat to explore the Predator Orion X desktop and other innovative gadgets that elevate the gaming experience.

The atmosphere was alive as players battled it out in their virtual arenas, showcasing exceptional skill and strategy from competing teams. As the tournament progressed, the Opening Ceremony was graced by Malaysia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh, underscoring the importance of esports in fostering community and talent development.

One of the most exciting moments came during the VALORANT Grand Finals, where Indonesia’s Alter Ego team showcased their mastery. They defeated ZOL Esports with a decisive 2-0 victory to claim the prestigious Predator Shield and the grand prize of USD 65,000 (approximately IDR 1.06 billion).

Alter Ego’s aggressive playstyle, led by Valdyn, Ray4C, Nakya, Gotten, and Cud, proved unstoppable. The first game, played on the Sunset map, saw Alter Ego take an early lead with a 7-5 score at the half. Despite ZOL Esports’ determined comeback, Alter Ego sealed the game with a close 13-11 victory.

The second match on the Split map, Alter Ego’s preferred battleground, demonstrated their tactical brilliance. Although ZOL played a solid game on the attacker site, Alter Ego’s team maintained their dominance, closing the match—and the series—with another 13-11 win.
