The Dell EMC PowerEdge MX7000 is an adaptable framework that consists of a modular chassis capable of accommodating various combinations of compute and storage sleds. To establish connectivity between compute and storage, high-speed fabrics are utilized, enabling the sharing of power, cooling, and the management systems provided by OpenManage Enterprise Modular Edition. Within the chassis, you can find servers with two-socket and four-socket configurations, equipped with Intel Xeon Processor Scalable processors. These servers can support up to 24 or 48 DIMMs, while the storage sleds offer 12 Gb/s SAS storage. Additionally, there is a selection of networking-switch I/O modules available.
The accompanying illustration presents a front view of the MX7000 infrastructure. The leftmost side showcases four blades with two sockets each, followed by a blade with four sockets. To the right of the blades, there are two storage sleds.
