Kuala Lumpur — Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia has announced an update for the Jaecoo J7 AWD, which now receives two new standard features — electric side steps and a side toolkit box.
Previously offered as part of Accessory Package A priced at RM7,800, both items are now included as standard equipment. As a result, the Jaecoo J7 AWD is now priced at RM153,000 on-the-road without insurance, reflecting an increase of RM4,200 from its previous price of RM148,800. The front-wheel-drive (FWD) variant remains unchanged at RM138,800.
For those seeking additional accessories, Omoda Jaecoo continues to offer Package B at RM10,000, which includes a roof rack frame, a side toolkit box, and a hard-shell side awning. Buyers may also opt for standalone accessories such as a side climb ladder (RM1,500) and a tactical box (RM3,000).
The Jaecoo J7 AWD maintains its distinctive design, featuring LED headlights and taillights, flush door handles, 19-inch alloy wheels, welcome lights, and a panoramic sunroof.
Inside, the SUV is equipped with a 14.8-inch central infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory, ventilation, and heating functions. Additional amenities include a heated steering wheel, a centre armrest chiller box, and an eight-speaker sound system.
Both the AWD and FWD variants are powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 197 hp and 290 Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
A plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version is also available, priced at RM158,800, offering a combined system output of 347 hp and 525 Nm.
