Following the launch of the Jetour Dashing and the announcement of the Jetour VT9, Malaysians can look forward to another exciting SUV arriving soon — the Jetour T2. At the ongoing Auto Shanghai 2025, Jetour revealed more information about the T2, along with two special edition models: the Stargazer Air and Nexus Sentinel.

The Jetour T2 is built for off-road adventures, offering better capabilities compared to the more urban-focused Jetour T1. It has a tough and traditional SUV design, featuring a wide horizontal grille, split LED headlamps, and chunky bumper cladding. The look is rugged yet stylish, reminding many of a "Defender on steroids."



In terms of size, the T2 measures 4,785 mm long, 2,006 mm wide, 1,875 mm tall, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase. Its wide body, strong approach and departure angles, and 700 mm wading depth make it highly capable when the roads get rough — almost like a pickup truck.

Under the hood, the Jetour T2 offers several engine options:

• A 1.5-litre turbo PHEV (plug-in hybrid) that delivers 375 hp and 610 Nm, with up to 117 km of pure electric driving range.
• A 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 184 hp and 290 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DCT.
• A 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine generating 254 hp and 390 Nm, matched with an 8-speed automatic and available XWD all-wheel drive system for added traction.

The T2 rides on a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear setup, tuned for a balance of comfort and firmness. Models with all-wheel drive come equipped with the brand’s XWD system, an electronic limited-slip differential, and multiple terrain modes for rain, mud, and gravel.



Inside, the T2 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8155 platform and features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It supports both Apple CarPlay and Huawei HiCar, along with over-the-air (OTA) updates to keep the system updated easily.



For safety, the T2 comes standard with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also features a 360-degree camera and automated parking assist to make city driving easier.



The cabin offers a premium feel, with soft-touch materials, electric seat adjustment, and seat heating. Higher-spec variants add luxury touches like a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, keyless entry, and a powered tailgate, making every journey more comfortable and stylish — very much in the spirit of the Defender it resembles.

According to Jetour Auto Malaysia, the T2 is set to officially launch in Q4 2025. Given the competitive pricing seen with the Dashing, the rugged and capable T2 could offer strong value and become a serious contender among Chinese SUVs in Malaysia.
