Proton recently celebrated a significant milestone at its Centre of Excellence (COE) with the launch of the Proton e.MAS 7 Tour. This initiative follows Geely’s successful E5 Long Test Drive World Tour as the Proton e.MAS 7 prepares to embark on a nationwide journey across Malaysia.

As Malaysia’s pioneering battery electric vehicle (BEV) brand, Proton e.MAS is the first to undertake such a large-scale tour with an electric vehicle. The Proton e.MAS 7 Tour will cover over 2,000 km, giving Malaysians a chance to see and try out the vehicle on different types of roads, from coastal routes to mountainous areas.

The tour kicks off on October 5, 2024, beginning in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor. After that, it will travel through Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Perak, Penang, Kedah, and Perlis, before stopping in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Finally, the tour will head to East Malaysia, starting in Sabah and ending in Sarawak.

"We're really excited to begin this journey with the e.MAS 7. We want to show Malaysians how well the vehicle performs on local roads and in different weather, while also connecting more closely with our customers," said Zhang Qiang, CEO of Pro-Net.



Before the tour begins, the public can view the Proton e.MAS 7 and meet the Pro-Net team in Putrajaya on September 25 and in Shah Alam on September 26. Attendees are invited to suggest stops along the route.

The Geely E5, developed alongside the Proton e.MAS 7, is built to withstand challenging conditions. It successfully completed a 3,700 km journey from China to Malaysia, dealing with bad weather and rough roads, including Typhoon Yagi. This shows how strong and reliable the technology behind the Proton e.MAS 7 is.
