More details about Proton S70, New colour available for Proton S70!!!

The announcement of the upcoming launch of the Proton S70 was made two weeks ago, allowing interested individuals to reserve the car by paying just RM500. Proton S70 marks the brand's first new sedan since the unveiling of the Proton Persona in August 2016.

The powertrains have been disclosed, hinting at a probable 3-cylinder turbocharged unit in line with Proton's dedication to this technology. However, the specific variant of the 3-cylinder engine to be available in the S70 remains unclear. Proton offers two versions of the turbocharged 1.5L engine—Multi-Point Injection (MPI) unit generating 150 PS/226 Nm and Direct Injection (TGDI) unit producing 177 PS/255 Nm.







Similar to the Emgrand, the interior features a broad touchscreen infotainment system positioned above the central air vents and climate controls. However, upon closer inspection, distinctions become evident. Notably, the steering wheel resembles that of the X50 rather than the Emgrand, and the shorter gear lever is reminiscent of the X90. These differences might be attributed to the specific powertrain utilized in the S70, warranting further explanation.


 

Executive variant, considered the standard among the four variants that featured 6 SRS airbags, Lane Change Assist, Electric Parking Brake, 16-inch Alloy Wheels, Fabric Seats, and 8-inch Infotainment Head Unit.

Moving up to the Premium variant, enhancements encompass LED Headlamps, Rear Tail Light Bar, Leatherette seats, Automatic Air Conditioning, and Reverse Camera.

Exclusive to the Flagship variant is the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which includes additional features like Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), 17-inch Alloy Wheels, 10.3-inch LCD Meter Combination, Driver Power Seat, 12.3-inch Infotainment Head Unit, Wireless Charger, and 360-Degree camera with 3D display.

The X model goes a step further by incorporating a sunroof, setting it apart from the base Flagship version.
 

 

There are seven color choices offered: Snow White, Armour Silver, Space Grey, Passion Red, Marine Blue, Quartz Black, and a new addition, Teal Bayou Green.

The Flagship model has access to all colors except Quartz Black, exclusive to the Flagship X, although this top variant doesn't offer the silver and red options.

The Premium variant, however, can be selected in Passion Red and Quartz Black, making up half of its available four-color choices.

Snow White and Space Grey are the only colors available across all variants, limited specifically to the Executive model.
