The EQS SUV will debut in Malaysia on Friday, October 20, according to Amanda Zhang, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia. She added that MBM will introduce a second EV before the end of 2023 at a Budget 2024 discussion where she made this statement.
"Our momentum is still building, and everyone is looking forward to the EQS SUV's debut this Friday. We also have plans to introduce another all-electric model before the year is over. These initiatives highlight our commitment to offering cutting-edge electric vehicles and helping to create a more sustainable future for our consumers in Malaysia, she said.

Given that the three-row EV has been seen about town sporting an eye-catching Merdeka-themed livery since independence day, the debut of the EQS SUV isn't really a surprise.
The variation (or variants) that will be sold in Malaysia are unknown, despite the fact that the aforementioned unit is an AMG Line vehicle. The first of three available models for the electric SUV is the EQS 450+, which has a rear motor that produces 360 PS (265 kW) and 568 Nm of torque. The EQS 450 4Matic follows, adding a front motor for all-wheel drive and producing a combined 360 PS and 800 Nm.

The EQS 580 4Matic, the top model in the tree, boasts a dual-motor AWD system and 544 PS (400 kW) and 858 Nm of torque. There is a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery in all three variations. With a WLTP cycle range of up to 660 km, the RWD EQS 450+ has the most mileage. A claimed 613 km of range is offered by the EQS 450 4Matic and EQS 580 4Matic.
Could the EQE SUV be the other EV that makes its way to our shores before the year is out? The smaller electric SUV is reported to have a maximum range of 590 km, a battery capacity of 90.6 kWh, and up to 408 PS/858 Nm.
