Our Minister of Transport, Anthony Loke Siew Fook paid a visit to Sultan of Johor in the morning. During the meeting, Minister Loke handed over the highly anticipated FF number plate series, specifically the first number, FF1, to Johor Sultan, signifying that the Sultan has officially become the owner of this much-talked-about number plate.
According to the Minister of Transport's message on Facebook, Sultan of Johor has agreed to pay ,, to the government to acquire this special number plate. This sets a new record for the highest amount received for a single number plate since the government opened the bidding process. In other words, it is the most expensive number plate in Malaysian history. With His Majesty's payment, the total revenue generated by the government from the FF number plate series has reached an astonishing ,,. This also makes it the highest-earning license plate series on the JPJ e-Bid platform since its establishment.
