The updated Mazda CX-5 facelift, although not entirely new, was globally revealed in late 2021. Malaysia is now introducing this refreshed version of the CX-5 just before a completely new model is expected to be unveiled around 2025.
The revamped Mazda CX-5 features a redesigned front and rear, showcasing a new three-dimensional grille and signature wing design in the front fascia. Similar to the Mazda 3 hatchback, the front bumper's lower corners now lack plastic trim and house LED fog lamps instead.
Mazda CX-5 facelift is set to launch in Malaysia on January 30, but as of now, no additional information has been disclosed. However, leaked details from late last year indicate that there could be 5 variants of the CX-5 facelift, starting from the basic 2.0G 2WD Mid and going up to the 2.5G 2WD High TC. The leaked information also suggests that the facelifted CX-5 will introduce two new color options, with one of them being polymetal grey.
