Bermaz Motor has updated the Mazda 3 pricing list in Malaysia, with the new price effective September 1, 2023, replacing the old one effective July 1, 2022. The price increase comes ahead of an expected update for the C-segment model, which has been promoted by local dealers in this market.
The Mazda 3 will continue to be available in sedan and hatchback (commonly known as the Liftback) body types, each with three variations. The sedan is available in Mid, High, and High Plus trim levels, while the hatchback is available in Mid, High Plus, and Ignite Edition trim levels. The standard equipment for both body shapes is identical at each variant level overlap.

In terms of pricing, the 2023 Mazda 3 sees an RM5,000 to RM6,000 hike across the board. Here are the new on-the-road stats without insurance, as well as how much the price has risen since last year:
- 2023 Mazda 3 1.5L Mid Sedan/Hatchback – RM149,320 (+RM6,000)
- 2023 Mazda 3 2.0L High Sedan – RM156,059 (+RM5,000)
- 2023 Mazda 3 2.0L High Plus Sedan/Hatchback – RM166,059 (+RM5,000)
- 2023 Mazda 3 2.0L Ignite Edition Hatchback – RM175,059 (+RM5,000)

For the time being, there is no official news on when the Mazda 3 IPM (an internal code designating a refresh or minor year model improvements) would be launched in the Philippines, and the spec sheet dated February 17, 2022 is still available on the local Mazda website. Nonetheless, local dealers have suggested that the Mazda 3 will receive the following updates:
- USB-C ports replace USB-A (all variants)
- 10.25-inch infotainment display added (from the High variant onwards)
- Qi wireless charging pad added (from High Plus onwards)
- Wireless Apple CarPlay support added (from High Plus onwards)
- Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) now comes with stop and go function (from High Plus onwards)

The Mazda 3 will very certainly keep the same SkyActiv-G petrol engine lineup, with the first being a 1.5 litre plant producing 118 hp at 6,000 rpm and 153 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. A 2.0 litre engine produces 162 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 213 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Both engines are mated to a six-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission, with power sent to the front wheels.
