It is a systemic fungicide with both protective and curative action, particularly effective against soil-borne pathogens like Pythium, Phytophthora, and also certain downy mildew / blight diseases.
Target Diseases & Crops
Previcur 840 is used for controlling diseases such as:

Damping-off / seedling rot caused by Pythium spp. on seedlings of crops like eggplant, chili, tomato, long beans, mustard, tobacco, cucumber.

Downy mildew, Phytophthora blight on field crops.

In greenhouse / foliar application: used on tomato, pepper, cucumber for diseases like Bremia (in lettuce), downy mildews, etc.
Crops listed include: brinjal (eggplant), chilli, Chinese long bean, etc.
Application / Dosage Guidelines
These are general guidelines found in various product literature. Always adjust and confirm with your local label.

For seedling / nursery drench (to prevent damping-off): apply as a drench or soil treatment to the root zone, mixing Previcur 840 into water and applying around seedlings.

For foliar spray / soil drench in field crops: spray or drench so soil and roots receive treated solution; Previcur is systemic and moves into roots and shoots.

Spray intervals: in some cases, repeat treatments are allowed at intervals of 7–10 days depending on disease pressure.

It can be used in tank mixes with other fungicides, but is not compatible with Bordeaux mixture or certain foliar fertilizers.
