Question: Is there some kind of trick to these because i bought one and it won't cut my one and a half inch pvc pipe

Answer: mine works great, maybe the pipe you are trying to cut is to big to fit

Answer: Spend the extra money and buy a name brand. It does not cut the pipe straight.

Question: can this cut smaller pipe as well?

Answer: Dear Customer, It depends on how small the pipe is, the 1-7/8'' (42 mm) cutter can cut 42mm-36mm diameter pipe, and pipe will not slip. The 2-1/2'' (64 mm) cutter can cut 64 mm-42 mm diameter pipe and pipe will not slip. If the pipe diameter smaller than 36 mm or 42 mm, it also can be cut. But you should be careful, the pipe may be going to slip. We also have 1-1/2 (38 mm) cutter you can choose. Best regards

Question: Is the handle plastic or metal? Usually for this price they are plastic which is fine unless they will be used daily
