EKG Project Update: HVAC System Modernization at Wisma UNIRAZAK

The work, centered on Level 5 (Unit AC1-5-P1), involved the decommissioning of a legacy system and the installation of a high-efficiency 2HP Cassette unit to restore optimal climate control to the workspace.
HVAC SYSTEM INSTALLATION & UPGRADE
Scope of Work: 2HP Cassette Installation, Faulty Unit Dismantling, and Infrastructure Replacement
1. Problem Statement
The existing unit at AC1-5-P1 had reached the end of its operational life, resulting in frequent mechanical failures and insufficient cooling for the Level 5 office zone. To ensure long-term reliability, a full system overhaul was required rather than a temporary repair.
2. Technical Execution
Our engineering team implemented a clean-slate installation to ensure the new hardware operates at peak factory specifications:

Decommissioning: The faulty unit was professionally dismantled, and the refrigerant was recovered according to environmental safety standards to prevent atmospheric discharge.

New 2HP Cassette Installation: We installed a modern 2HP Ceiling Cassette unit. This 4-way discharge model was selected to provide uniform air distribution across the open-plan office area.

Piping & Insulation: Rather than reusing old lines, EKG laid new copper piping complete with high-grade thermal insulation. This ensures maximum cooling efficiency and prevents the "sweeping" or condensation issues often found in aging infrastructure.

Electrical & Containment: New wiring was installed and protected within flexible conduits. This professional containment method protects the electrical system from moisture, dust, and mechanical wear, ensuring a safe and durable power supply to the unit.
