SMCT P1

PRACTICAL PNEUMATICS 1

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participant will have fulfilling 4 days (24 hours) course whereby they will be able to :

  1. Identify the construction and function of the pneumatic components
  2. Identify the needs of compressed air production and purification
  3. Differentiate the symbol of pneumatic valves (3/2, 5/2, 5/3, dual air pilot, single air pilot)
  4. Design and troubleshoot the pneumatic circuits (etc: Auto-Return circuit)

TOPICS COVERED

  1. Production, processing and distribution of compressed air
  2. Logic YES/NO, AND, OR
  3. Valves – 3/2, 5/2, 5/3, dual air pilot, single air pilot
  4. Speed controllers,Needle Valve, Throttle relief valve, Quick exhaust valve
  5. Auto – return circuit
  6. Start and Stop button auto-circuit
  7. Sizing of cylinders and valves for projects
  8. Pneumatic Delay Timers
  9. Practical Exercises


SMCT P2

MAINTENANCE OF PNEUMATIC SYSTEM & CIRCUIT DESIGN

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participant will have fulfilling 4 days (24 hours) course whereby they will be able to :

  1. Identify the functions and components prone to wear in pneumatic systems
  2. Diagnose potential causes of failure in complex pneumatic circuits
  3. Design and troubleshoot advanced pneumatic circuits
  4. Apply a systematic approach to fault detection and correction

TOPICS COVERED

  1. Function and operation of air purification equipment
  2. Common wearing of parts in pneumatic components
  3. Preventive maintenance of pneumatic systems
  4. Design of various controls (Logic, Memory, Time – Dependent)
  5. Reading of complex circuits with step diagram
  6. Signal overlapping and various methods of signal cut-off
  7. Sequential design with supplementary conditions (Single / Continuos cycle, Manual / Automatic mode, Emergency Stop design)
  8. Practical exercises with systematic troubleshooting

PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLERS 1

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participant will have fulfilling 4 days (24 hours) course whereby they will be able to :

  1. Identify the structure and operation of PLCs
  2. Understand PLC hardware configuration and types
  3. Design and write PLC programs using ladder diagrams
