On June 5th 2025, Drawbridge Technologies had the opportunity to conduct an engaging knowledge-sharing session on Digital Transformation through 3D Scanning Technology at the Pahang Skills Development Centre (Pahang Skills). The session was tailored for a group of students from the Solar Energy program, highlighting how advanced metrology and 3D scanning can support renewable energy innovation and technical problem-solving.
The goal of the session was to introduce students to real-world applications of 3D scanning, an essential tool in today’s industrial digitalization journey. As solar energy continues to rise as a key pillar of sustainable development, understanding how to inspect, replicate, and optimize physical components using precise 3D data becomes increasingly relevant.
Participants were introduced to Creaform HandySCAN 3D scanner, including live demonstrations. We covered topics such as:
- How 3D scanning enables reverse engineering and quality control
- Its role in rapid prototyping for solar system components
- How it supports data-driven maintenance and performance analysis
The interactive session sparked insightful questions from students, with many eager to explore how they could apply these tools in future solar projects. We were inspired by their curiosity and drive to embrace technology that bridges engineering and sustainability.
Drawbridge Technologies is proud to support technical education initiatives and believes in nurturing digital skills that future-proof our industries. A big thank you to the faculty and students of Pahang Skills for their warm welcome and participation!
