The UTM Faculty of Science held the opening ceremony of The Living Lab: Sustainable Educational Farm on 8 June 2024.
The Living Lab is built on an organic garden model, transforming campus food waste into resources for sustainable agriculture. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Merbauan Agrotechnology Club (Magrotech) and UTM International.
As part of our support for this meaningful project, EMRO Malaysia contributed 100 kg of EM Bokashi and 300 litres of EMAS.
The Living Lab Project is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norahim Ibrahim, who mentors local and international students, together with the surrounding community, on hands-on management and sustainable agricultural practices within the educational farm.
Sustainable agriculture plays a vital role in meeting global environmental challenges, especially climate change.
Let us all work together toward a greener future!
