Hydrostatic Pressure and Burst Testing Machine are generally use to determine resistance of thermoplastic pipes, fittings and piping system for conveyance of fluid. It can also use to test short-time hydraulic burst when pipe internal water pressure and temperature are constant. Test methods of course follow guidelines from ISO 1167 (Thermoplastics pipes, fittings and assemblies for the conveyance of fluids) and ASTM D1598 (Standard Test Method for Time-to-Failure of Plastic Pipe Under Constant Internal Pressure).
