Containerized 2600 kVA with Remote Radiator
ISTIQ Noise Control Sdn Bhd was entrusted to deliver a fully engineered containerized power solution built around a 2600 kVA Mitsubishi Diesel Generator Set. Our scope combined engineering design, container modification, and system integration to transform a standard 40-foot high-cube container into a reliable, mine-ready power package.
Project Background
This project was executed in partnership with CAPS Australia, with the final delivery to Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM). As the appointed packager, ISTIQ Noise Control delivered a turnkey solution that combined Mitsubishi’s MGS2800HV engine with our proven expertise in acoustic engineering and container fabrication.
By integrating mechanical, electrical, and acoustic systems into a single, transportable enclosure, we provided KCGM with a robust, reliable, and noise-controlled power solution tailored for mining operations.
Key deliverables
Container Engineering & Modification – Redesign of a standard 40’ HC container to house the generator, intake and discharge silencers, and a 3,000-liter fuel tank. The exhaust silencer and remote radiator are located on top of the container.
Custom Fan Control Panels – Design, supply, and integration of advanced fan control panels to manage the container’s cooling system. These panels provide automatic fan sequencing, temperature monitoring, and fault protection, ensuring the radiator operates efficiently under the harsh mining environment.
Cooling & Electrical Systems – Installation of a remote radiator system complete with interconnecting wiring, power distribution, and container lighting to support safe and continuous operation.
Structural & Acoustic Enhancements– Precision fabrication of ventilation openings, acoustic treatment, and structural reinforcements to meet strict shipping requirements and noise compliance standards.
