In a significant development for the oil and gas industry, ISTIQ Noise Control has successfully constructed a semi-anechoic room for TGT Oilfield Services, a leading provider of diagnostic solutions to the global oil and gas industry. Located in Labuan, Sabah, this cutting-edge facility is set to revolutionize how oilfield services companies detect leaks and maintain the integrity of their piping systems.

The semi-anechoic room, designed and constructed by ISTIQ Noise Control, has surpassed expectations by achieving a noise level of just 27.9 decibels (dBA), significantly lower than the required standard of 33.0 dBA. The chamber was designed with double-layer Acoustic Modular Panels to attenuate high noise levels from the workshop area. In-situ measurement was done, and the results were satisfactory, achieving an FSTC of 63 dB.
