SMW-Autoblok has evolved from a hard ware producer of high precision work holding to a turn key supplier for hard ware, software and electronic components. Inductive Couplers

With contactless inductive coupler systems, SMW-Electronics offers the technology to transmit energy and data, contact-free, between stationary and moving components via an air gap. Axial couplers come equipped with threaded fasteners that are commonly used in sensor technology, making them extremely easy to install. What’s more, their plug & play functionality allows for quick integration. The built-in LED display informs the user of the system's status at all times. Inductive transmission technology is completely wear and maintenance-free and replaces traditional transmission methods using cables or connectors. Inductive coupler systems are protected to the IP67 standard and can thus be used in harsh, demanding environmental conditions; they are also insensitive to vibration.

 

 

Inductive Axial Couplers

With contactless inductive coupler systems, SMW-Electronics offers the technology to transmit energy and data, contact-free, between stationary and moving components via an air gap. Axial couplers for rotary applications are available with diameters of up to 280 mm and large internal diameters. Inductive transmission technology is completely wear and maintenance-free and replaces traditional transmission methods using cables, contacts or slip rings. Inductive coupler systems are protected to the IP67 standard and can thus be used in harsh, demanding environmental conditions; they are also insensitive to vibration.

 

Linear Position Sensor

The LPS 4.0 linear position sensor is one of the company’s most exciting new sensors. SMW developed this sensor specifically for use with Industry 4.0 applications. The new LPS 4.0 position sensor is inductive: its system identifies the exact position of a sensor element wirelessly and with maximum repeat accuracy. The measured value is available via the built-in IO-Link interface or displayed by way of traditional analogue signals (0-10V or 4-20mA). The LPS 4.0 is also protected to the IP67 standard and boasts outstanding EMC properties.
