Professional RJ45 & BNC Network Cable Tester — High-Precision Connectivity Diagnostic Tool þ
The RJ45 & BNC Network Cable Tester is a professional-grade diagnostic instrument designed for rapid and accurate verification of network and coaxial cabling. Whether you are installing new infrastructure or troubleshooting existing connections, this versatile tester identifies open circuits, short circuits, and cross-connections across a variety of cable types. Its modular design includes a master unit and a detachable remote, allowing for efficient one-person testing of cables installed through walls or across large distances.
Engineered for durability and ease of use, this tester is a foundational tool for network administrators, telecommunications technicians, and IT professionals.
Key Performance Features
-
Dual-Interface Testing: Seamlessly supports both RJ45 (Ethernet) and BNC (Coaxial) interfaces, making it ideal for modern LAN environments and legacy video/data systems.
-
Comprehensive Fault Detection: Quickly identifies critical wiring issues including continuity, open wires, shorted pairs, and crossed connections.
-
Detachable Remote Unit: Features a slide-off remote component that enables the testing of long cable runs or cables already routed through ceilings and conduits.
-
Clear LED Status Display: Employs a sequential LED light array (1–8 and G) on both units to visually confirm pin-to-pin mapping and grounding integrity.
-
Adjustable Testing Speeds: Includes a toggle switch for "On" (standard speed) and "S" (slow speed) to allow for meticulous observation of signal transmission sequence.
-
Professional Compliance: Certified with the CE mark and manufactured to GB4943 standards, ensuring reliable performance in technical environments.

Top 3 Customer Questions & Concerns þ
Can this tester detect the specific distance to a cable break? No. This is a continuity and mapping tester. It will tell you which wire is broken or crossed, but it does not function as a TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer) to measure the exact distance to the fault.
þ Is it safe to use this on a "live" network cable connected to a switch? No. You should never connect this tester to a live PoE (Power over Ethernet) or active network port. Doing so may damage the sensitive LED circuitry of the tester. Always ensure both ends of the cable are disconnected from active equipment before testing.
Why are the LEDs blinking in a different order on the remote? If the LEDs on the remote unit do not match the sequence of the master unit, it indicates a "Crossed" or "Miswired" cable. For a standard straight-through cable, the lights should pulse in a perfect 1 through 8 sequence on both units.
