Hextar World has officially opened its doors at Empire City in Petaling Jaya, marking the occasion with the launch of High Street, a fully enclosed lifestyle promenade designed to bring culture, leisure and community activity into one destination. The opening on Nov 29 featured live cultural performances and a variety of public festivities to welcome visitors.
This debut also aligns with the start of Hextar World’s “A Classic Christmas” celebration, a festive campaign running until Jan 4, 2026. Throughout the season, guests can enjoy weekend parades, themed markets, creative workshops, exhibitions and promotional events — all crafted to heighten the year-end holiday experience.
According to Hextar Group group CEO Datuk Eddie Ong, the introduction of Hextar World reflects the company’s vision for vibrant, people-focused spaces. He shared that the goal is to build an environment where culture, creativity and community can thrive together in a lively, modern setting.
High Street sits within a massive development offering 1.8 million sq ft of net lettable space, with 450,000 sq ft dedicated exclusively to entertainment. Weekend cultural activities will continue throughout December, adding ongoing value to the surrounding community and visitors.
Positioned within the larger Empire City Damansara township, Hextar World is planned as a comprehensive lifestyle hub that merges retail, arts, leisure and entertainment. Its strategic location also complements the broader property landscape across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, where demand for mixed-use spaces continues to rise — supported by surrounding commercial growth, including high-demand areas for industrial land in Selangor, expanding business hubs with office space in Bukit Jalil, and thriving industrial corridors offering factories in Puchong and industrial property in the Subang area, as well as ongoing developments for commercial property in KL.
