- What industry are you entering, and how much potential does your business have?
Once you are clear about your entrepreneurial direction, you need to develop a solid plan. A well-structured business plan will make your journey smoother.

Potential risks
Having a clear plan will help you stay stable when facing challenges.
Once you have a business plan, it’s time to put it into action. Here are the key steps:
a. Choose Your Business Structure
The type of company you register will affect how you operate and the tax regulations you need to comply with.
Example:
A sole proprietorship submits Form B for tax reporting, while a private limited company (Sdn Bhd) submits Form C.
The maximum tax rate for a sole proprietorship is 30%, whereas for a private limited company (Sdn Bhd), it is only 24%.
b. Choose a Unique Business Name
A distinctive company name is crucial. If your name is too generic or similar to others, your brand may get lost in the competition.
c. Prepare the Necessary Documents
The essential documents include:
Company Constitution
Directors' statutory appointment documents
Company name approval document from SSM
Identification documents of directors and company secretary
d. Appoint a Company Secretary (For Sdn Bhd Only)
You must appoint a licensed company secretary within 30 days of company incorporation.
If you have already engaged a corporate secretarial firm, they will handle all the paperwork for you.
e. Secure a Business Premise & Obtain a Business License
Important: Registering a company does not mean you can operate legally! If you have a physical store, you must apply for a business license before starting operations.
f. Open a Business Bank Account & Employer Accounts
Once your company is registered, you need to open a business bank account and register for employer accounts (for hiring employees and making statutory contributions).

创业道路第二步 —> 制定计划
当你清楚的知道自己的创业方向后，你需要制定计划。有一个完整的生意计划（business plan）会让你的创业道路更加顺畅。一个完整的生意计划应该包括目标，成本，预计盈利，风险等。这些会让你在应付风险时更稳定。
创业道路第三步 —> 开始行动
当你制定了计划之后，你就可以开始付诸行动了。以下这些都是你在开始行动时需要决定的事项：
a. 公司类型
公司的类型将影响你之后的营业方式。不同的公司类型，每年需要呈报的资料也不一样，税率更甚。举个例子，
=> 独资企业呈报的税务表格是Form B，但私人有限公司呈报的税务表格却是Form C；
=> 独资企业的税率最高30%, 但私人有限公司的税率最高却只达到24%。
b. 公司名字
选择一个独特的公司名字是很重要的，如果你的公司名字过于大众化或与其他品牌相似，只会让你的品牌淹没在人海中。
c. 文件准备
需要准备的文件包括：
公司章程
董事的法定委任文件
SSM发出的公司名字通过文件
董事及公司秘书的身份证等等
d. 公司秘书 （只限有限公司）
你需要在成立公司的30天内委任一位拥有执照的公司秘书。
如果你已经委任秘书公司处理申请文件，那你就无需为文件准备而烦恼了。
e. 确定营业地址并办理营业执照
记住，注册了公司后，并不代表你能合法的营业。有店面营业的你们，别忘了申请营业执照哦！
