3M™ E-A-Rsoft™ Yellow Neons™ Metal Detectable Earplugs have been specially-developed for food and beverage industries where it is critical to keep earplugs from contaminating products and processes. These earplugs feature an implanted stainless steel ball bearing in the earplug and metal particles in the cord, helping them be detected by most metal-sensing systems. Earplugs feature a  tapered shape and smooth soft texture to help provide a comfortable fit. This earplug model is made of a soft, slow-recovery foam that also helps make insertion easier.

When inserting the earplug into the ear canal, the slow-recovery foam helps make insertion easier, giving the wearer time to get the compressed foam cylinder (rolled down earplug) into the ear before the foam fully expands. Its bright yellow color is designed to help make earplugs easier to spot during compliance checks for hearing protection.
