The Jaecoo J7 PHEV is making a strong impression in Malaysia’s SUV market, with over 800 units registered in just four months since its official launch in late February. To celebrate the growing popularity, Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia hosted a special handover event for 100 new J7 PHEV owners. Among them was Manivannan Manickam, who shared, “It’s comfortable for the whole family, and we can go long distances without refuelling. I’m glad I chose this car — it fits my needs perfectly.”



In terms of performance, the J7 PHEV offers an impressive range of up to 1,300km (NEDC) on a full tank and charge. It features a class-leading pure electric range of 106km, and the lowest fuel consumption in its class at 4.77L/100km in battery-depleted mode. With 255kW and 525Nm of torque, it’s powered by Jaecoo’s proprietary Super Hybrid System (SHS) and an 18.3kWh LFP battery, built to perform even in extreme weather.



Priced at RM158,800, the J7 PHEV is packed with premium features including Level 2.5 ADAS, eight airbags, Driver Monitoring System, Lane Departure Prevention, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Intelligent Drive Modes. According to Emily Lek, Vice President of Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia, “The J7 PHEV with our Super Hybrid System is a technology leader in its segment.” With strong early demand and a growing owner community, the J7 PHEV is quickly establishing itself as one of the most exciting plug-in hybrids on Malaysian roads.
