The GAC GS3 Emzoom has received a five-star rating from the ASEAN NCAP, accumulating a total score of 88.39 points. Launched in Malaysia in April this year, the B-segment SUV was initially available as a fully-imported (CBU) model but has transitioned to local assembly (CKD) as of this week.

According to the 2021–2025 assessment protocol, the GS3 Emzoom achieved 29.28 out of 32 points in the adult occupant protection (AOP) category. In the child occupant protection (COP) category, it scored 41.91 out of 51 points. The SUV also earned 18.75 out of 21 points in the safety assist category and 14 out of 16 points in the motorcyclist safety (MS) category.
 

After adjusting for weighting, the final scores for the GAC GS3 Emzoom were 36.6 points for adult occupant protection (AOP), 16.43 points for child occupant protection (COP), 17.86 points for safety assist, and 17.50 points for motorcyclist safety (MS). Adding these together, the SUV achieved a total score of 88.39 points, which secured its five-star rating.

As standard, the GS3 Emzoom comes equipped with six airbags, ABS, ESP, a seatbelt reminder for front passengers, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), blind spot monitoring, front collision warning (FCW), lane departure warning (LDW), lane keep assist (LKA), adaptive cruise control (ACC), intelligent speed limit control (ISLC), and traffic sign recognition system (TSR).
