Hyundai has revealed the Staria Hybrid as part of its 2024 update

2024 Hyundai Staria has been updated, but its exterior remains largely unchanged. However, the new version now offers a 1.6L Hybrid Powertrain. In Korea, Hyundai has started accepting pre-orders for this eco-friendly Staria variant.

What's special about this Hybrid Powertrain? It includes a 1.6L Turbocharged Engine and an Electric Drive System, delivering a maximum power of 245 hp and torque of 367 Nm. The standalone 1.6L turbo engine can generate 180 hp and 265 Nm. Hyundai claims that the Staria Hybrid achieves a fuel efficiency of 13 km/L


 

New Hybrid Powertrain for the Staria will come in various versions of the van, including the Cargo and Lounge versions. The 2024 update for the Lounge variant includes visual enhancements like black high-gloss wheels as standard.

Regarding usability and convenience, notable new features include touch-based air-conditioning controls, slower power sliding doors, and USB Type C ports. One smart improvement is the "congestion section specialized control," which adjusts the vehicle's behavior based on traffic conditions.

In Malaysia, the pre-2024 update Hyundai Staria comes in three 10-seater variants: Lite, Plus, and Max. Prices range from RM181,888 for the Lite model to RM211,888 for the Max variant. The Staria Premium model appears to have been removed from Hyundai Malaysia's website.
