Since June of this year, Volkswagen has been giving away glimpses of the upcoming all-new Tiguan. However, ahead of its world premiere, which is scheduled to take place in the fall of this year, leaked photos of the completely redesigned Volkswagen Tiguan have appeared online. These photos show the SUV boasting smoother curves and a more "ID"-like style.

The official photos that Volkswagen issued have effectively had their camouflage wrapped off in the leaked images. The taillight cluster on the new Tiguan, which now covers the entire width of the vehicle, is arguably its most striking design feature. The Tiguan has a new appearance that now matches the ID electric cars from the brand.




The all-new Volkswagen Tiguan will be constructed on the MQB Evo platform, which supports TDI, TSI, eTSI, and eHybrid powertrains, as Volkswagen has previously disclosed. In comparison to their predecessors, the new plug-in hybrid drives now have an electric range that can reach up to 100 kilometers. Additionally, all eHybrid variants will have faster AC charging, and DC charging will finally be available as standard.

A new generation of adaptive suspension control (DCC) with an optional DCC Pro system with two-valve shock absorbers has been unveiled by Volkswagen in addition to the platform and compatible powertrains. The brand-new Tiguan will come with a vehicle dynamics manager as standard equipment, a MQB technology that first appeared in the current Golf GTI.




ErgoActive front seats are another feature that will be optionally offered for the brand-new Volkswagen Tiguan. These chairs include features like pneumatic 10-chamber pressure point massages in the backrests and lumbar support adjustments with four different positions. Additionally, the Tiguan's baggage space is 37 liters bigger than the one it replaces, with a 652 liter capacity.

The only version of the Volkswagen Tiguan sold in Malaysia is the 7-seater Tiguan Allspace, which comes in three variants: Life, Elegance, and R-Line. The starting price (with the Volkswagen Assurance Package) is RM174,590, and the highest price is RM257,073.
