To commemorate the 25th Silver Jubilee of His Royal Highness Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, the 9th Sultan of Selangor, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) Malaysia will be offering Special Registration Numbers (NPI) under the “SIS” series for public bidding. This initiative is part of the celebration for the momentous milestone in 2026, marking 25 years of His Majesty’s reign.

The “SIS” series, which stands for “Sultan Idris Shah”, has been specially chosen to honour the Sultan and to highlight the historical significance of this royal occasion. The plates will be open for bidding exclusively via JPJeBid, JPJ’s official online bidding system, giving the public a fair and transparent opportunity to secure these highly sought-after registration numbers.

Bidding for the SIS series will officially open on August 15, 2025 (Friday) and will close on August 19, 2025 (Tuesday) at 10:00 PM. The results will be announced the very next day, on August 20, 2025 (Wednesday). JPJ is encouraging both the public and number plate collectors to take advantage of this rare chance to own a prestigious and historically meaningful plate that will serve as a symbol of Selangor’s royal heritage.
