RAFIA ROPE

Raffia rope (also known as raffia twine, polypropylene raffia rope, PP raffia rope, or synthetic raffia cord) is a lightweight, flexible, and versatile rope or twine manufactured from flat or fibrillated polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) tape yarns twisted, braided, or bundled together to form a continuous length of cordage. While the name derives from the natural raffia palm fibre traditionally used in craft and agricultural applications, modern raffia rope in industrial and packaging contexts refers almost exclusively to the synthetic PP or PE version — engineered to deliver significantly greater strength, moisture resistance, and durability than its natural counterpart at a substantially lower cost. Raffia rope is one of the most widely used and economical bundling, tying, and securing materials across agriculture, horticulture, packaging, construction, and general industrial applications worldwide.
