争儿逾百万遗产 阿嬷状告孙

（新加坡31日讯） 男子遇车祸身亡，死前没立下遗嘱，其儿子便顺理成章成为遗产管理人；不过男子的母亲声称，儿子生前曾答应死后将把房子和遗产留给他，因此他入禀高庭告孙子，与其争夺遗产。

死者贾甘纳登在2019年7月30日遭遇车祸，隔天凌晨伤重离世。他生前并未留下遗嘱。

现年26岁的儿子则是长期失联，不曾与父亲联络。他在得知其父亲逝世的消息后，通过律师申请有关父亲遗产的管理文件。

死者的母亲拉萨琳甘过后入禀高庭起诉孙子，表示死者曾口头答应，若自己比母亲先过世，屋子与其存款等遗产将留给他，因此以死者说法构成”不容反悔“（propriety estoppel）为由，自己有权继承遗产。

然而，审理案件的法官指出，无遗嘱法令（Intestate Succession Act）大于“不容发挥”原则，但若死者母亲能证明自己相信死者的承诺而做出一些贡献的话，可通过讨债方式达成诉求。

死者母亲称花了2万5000元（约8万2500令吉）装修屋子，但无法出示足够证据，最后败诉。
