FRP Division in Polymer Composite Asia Sdn Bhd (PCA) was founded in 1989 as one of the pioneers in Malaysia, specializing in the design and manufacture of FRP/GRP equipment, such as FRP or GRP Tanks, FRP or GRP Pipes and Fittings, FRP or GRP Lining systems, Odor Control Systems, Counter-Current Fume Scrubber Systems, and Cross-Flow Fume Scrubber Systems, FRP or GRP Centrifugal fans, FRP or GRP ducts and fittings. The products, sold through the Hexagon group of companies and PCA itself, remain in operation today. Composite products branded under Hexagon continue to be a reputable name in Malaysia and Singapore.
In 2009, due to the reorganization of businesses in PCA, this business was incorporated into Hexagon Technologies Sdn Bhd. In the same year, the company name was changed to Hexagon Composite Engineering Sdn Bhd to better reflect its core business. This evolution signifies that the company's experience effectively dates back to 1989.
In addition to manufacturing of FRP/GRP equipment, Hexagon Composite Engineering has diversified into other business areas initially established under Hexagon Tower Sdn Bhd, including:
- Manpower supply aimed at overhauling and maintaining turbines, generators, and other auxiliary equipment for power plants.
- Maintenance, replacement, and overhaul services for semiconductor, electronics factories, chemical, and petrochemical factories.
- Design, fabricate and installation of Odor Scrubber Systems and Chemical Fume Scrubber Systems.
