Putrajaya – Illegal motorcycle racing, commonly associated with “mat rempit” culture, has once again drawn public attention after a viral video surfaced on social media.

In the latest incident, Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) arrested two high-powered motorcycle riders believed to have performed dangerous stunts in the Putrajaya area.


Incident at a public hotspot

The dangerous act reportedly took place near Putra Bridge, one of Putrajaya’s most iconic landmarks and a popular public area.

The viral video showed riders performing high-risk stunts on public roads, raising serious concerns about the safety of other road users.

According to reports, the incident occurred in mid-April 2026, with the video gaining traction online shortly after.
