Selangor,Kuala Lumpur (KL) - Proton Wira UCM Thermistor Sensor
29-Jan-2026
The Proton Wira UCM Thermistor Sensor is a specialized temperature-sensing probe designed specifically for Wira models equipped with the UCM (United Cars Manufacturing) air conditioning system. Unlike the more common Denso or Sanden variants, this sensor is calibrated to match the specific resistance values of the UCM Cooling Coil and UCM Amplifier.
- Part Type: Air Cond Thermo Sensor / Thermistor
- System Compatibility: Strictly for UCM Brand AC systems
- Connector: 2-Pin socket
- Vehicle Application:
- Proton Wira (1.3 / 1.5 / 1.6)
- Proton Satria (Standard models using UCM)
Key Identification & Troubleshooting
- Brand Matching: Look at your Cooling Coil housing (the black box behind the glovebox). If it has a "UCM" sticker, this is the correct sensor. If it says "Sanden" or "Denso," this sensor will not be accurate and may cause your compressor to cycle incorrectly.
- Symptoms of Failure:
- Airflow Loss: The AC works for 15 minutes then stops blowing air (evaporator is frozen).
- No Cooling: The compressor refuses to engage because the sensor is sending an "ice" signal even when the coil is warm.
