This is an important notice for those traveling to Labuan Island for the purpose of obtaining Labuan work permit.
“When traveling to Labuan Island for the purpose of obtaining work permit, kindly schedule minimum of 2 days and 1 night“.
Under the Labuan immigration rules, the applicant and the person in charge of the trust company will be sent to the Immigration on the first day, and only the application process will be accepted.
Therefore, if you travel to Labuan on a day trip, you will not be issued work permit in principle, and it is highly likely that you will need to re-visit at a later date.
In general, it takes 3 business days from the application procedure to the issuance procedure. At this time, all applicants have completed work permit procedures within 2 business days.

Labuan Immigration Operationg days and hours
Labuan Immigration’s business days and hours are as follows:-

Labuan Immigration can only be issued on Tuesday-Thursday, so it is recommended that you travel on Tuesday morning flights (if possible, stay in Labuan 1 day before) and return on Wednesday afternoon flights (evening flights) .
