How to Close a Limited Liability Partnership (PLT.)?
In Malaysia, a Limited Liability Partnership (PLT.) can be closed through the following methods:
1. Voluntary Winding Up
o The partners decide to dissolve the business voluntarily and submit the necessary documents following legal procedures.
2. Closure under Section 51 of the Limited Liability Partnerships Act 2012
o If the PLT. ceases operations or fails to meet compliance requirements, an application can be submitted to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) for termination under Section 51.
3. Compulsory Winding Up by Court Order
o Due to financial debts, legal disputes, or other reasons, the court may issue an order for the compulsory liquidation of the business.
