Nampaknya berlaku ribut di Sekolah Menengah Beihai St. Mark yang menyebabkan siling bilik darjah runtuh. Ribut menterbalikkan bilik darjah, membawa kepada pembukaan skylight dan pinggan berterbangan dan jatuh ke tanah. Mujurlah ketika kejadian ini berlaku sekitar jam 4.30 petang, para pelajar berada di luar bagi mengelakkan sebarang kecederaan.
Bilik darjah yang terjejas ialah bilik aktiviti Cina yang terletak di tingkat atas bangunan sekolah empat tingkat itu. Angin kencang meniup beberapa keping siling, dan satu atau dua keping jatuh terus ke dalam kelas. Hujan lebat juga menyebabkan bilik darjah menjadi basah, memerlukan penutupan sementara.
Nasib baik pelajar tidak berada di dalam ketika ini berlaku, mengelakkan sebarang kecederaan atau bahaya. Insiden sedemikian menekankan kepentingan memastikan integriti struktur bangunan, terutamanya semasa keadaan cuaca buruk, untuk mengelakkan potensi risiko kepada individu dalam ruang ini.
