Shoppers eyeing a new SUV may want to take a closer look at Chery Malaysia, as the brand has introduced attractive year-end promotions featuring cash rebates of up to RM15,000 and a complimentary extension to its PHEV battery warranty.
The most substantial offer goes to Chery’s largest model, the Tiggo 8 Pro, priced at RM159,800. Buyers can now enjoy a generous RM15,000 discount on this three-row flagship SUV. Right behind it is the Tiggo 7 Pro, now RM10,000 cheaper than its RM123,800 retail price.
Under the hood, the Tiggo 7 Pro packs a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine delivering 197 hp and 290 Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The bigger Tiggo 8 Pro remains the brand’s most powerful local offering, featuring a 2.0-litre turbo engine pushing out 256 hp and 390 Nm, also matched with a 7-speed DCT.
Chery’s most accessible model, the Tiggo Cross, was introduced earlier this year. Available as either a petrol variant (1.5-litre turbo, 147 PS/210 Nm, 6-speed DCT) or a hybrid (204 PS/310 Nm), it starts at RM99,800 for the hybrid and RM88,800 for the petrol version. Both versions are currently eligible for a RM5,000 rebate.
The company also recently expanded its electrified lineup with the Tiggo 8 PHEV (RM159,800) and Tiggo 7 PHEV (RM129,800). These plug-in hybrids share a CSH system combining a 1.5-litre Miller-cycle turbo engine with an integrated electric motor, producing a total of 275 PS and 365 Nm. The Tiggo 8 PHEV adopts Chery’s latest facelift, complete with a redesigned, EV-inspired interior.
Both PHEV models come with a RM5,000 discount and an upgraded 10-year/200,000 km battery warranty at no extra cost. Chery is also retroactively extending this warranty to all existing PHEV owners who purchased their vehicles since launch. The upgrade, valued at RM3,000, replaces the standard 8-year/160,000 km coverage.
