Chery's OMODA E5 has earned five-star safety ratings from both the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) and the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).

This achievement shows Chery’s strong focus on safety and innovation. It builds on the success of the OMODA 5, the petrol version, which also got top safety ratings in 2022. The electric version, OMODA E5, keeps the same five-star rating as its petrol-powered model after going through additional tests.

These new awards strengthen the OMODA 5's reputation worldwide as a leader in car safety, with five-star ratings already given by Euro NCAP, ANCAP, and ASEAN NCAP.
Tests showed that the OMODA E5 performed exceptionally well in key safety areas like Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, and Safety Assist systems.




The OMODA E5 underwent additional safety tests, including frontal offset and oblique pole crash assessments, to evaluate its overall safety and the durability of its high-voltage battery.

Designed with young passengers in mind, the OMODA E5 prioritizes family safety through its ergonomically designed child seat interfaces, ensuring stable and secure installations. Its advanced airbag system enhances protection by precisely adjusting deployment timing and coverage to provide optimal safety for children.

In key Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) tests for Vulnerable Road User (VRU) protection and Safety Assist (SA), the OMODA E5 excelled, effectively tackling the challenges posed by unpredictable road users. Equipped with cutting-edge systems, its AEB accurately detects targets across a wide speed range and responds promptly to reduce collision risks, setting a high standard in active safety.
