What are Termites
Termites, often known as white ants or Anai-anai in Singapore and Malaysia, are the most feared pests among property owners because of the extensive damage. It's especially dangerous since they thrive in tropical and subtropical areas with high humidity and rainfall, such as Johor Bahru, Klang Valley, Penang, and Singapore, where they may quickly cause thousands of dollars in damage.
The most common termite species in Johor Bahru, Klang Valley, Penang, and Singapore is the subterranean termite. The subterranean termite can feed on cellulose in wood for up to 24 hours without stopping.

Subterranean Termite (Coptotermes spp.)
Subterranean termites are the most bothersome, accounting for around 90% of termite-related damage in Singapore and Malaysia. The structural damage might go undetected because they feed on the cellulose in wood rather than the wood itself.
Subterranean termites are one of Asia's most well-known and dangerous wood-destroying insect pests. They cause millions of dollars in damage each year and may severely injure a family's most valuable asset in their home. Subterranean termites live in underground colonies and are separated into castes that perform different tasks for the settlement.
Consequently, these caste systems are broken down into three categories: labourers, soldiers, and swarmers. Workers help with foraging, child care, building and maintenance, and even colony defence.
