Lights down. Music up.
One after another, EP Equipment's Autonomous MHE took to the stage at the 8th 629 AI Show 2026 in Hangzhou. It looked like a product launch—but what we witnessed was a glimpse into where warehouse operations are heading.//
We came back with one realization:
The future isn't about buying the newest technology.
It's about choosing technology that solves the right problems.
Every warehouse faces the same challenge:
It's not just the cost of equipment.
It's the cost of having skilled people spend hours on repetitive material handling instead of creating greater value for the business.
That's why Allied Forklift was there.
Not simply to witness innovation, but to evaluate how these next-generation technologies could genuinely benefit our customers.
Before any technology deserves your investment, ask these four questions:
Cost reduction: Will it meaningfully reduce recurring labour and operating costs?
Practicality: Can it fit your warehouse layout, workflow, and day-to-day operational challenges?
Safety: Will it minimise human error and create a safer working environment?
Sustainability: Can it optimise energy consumption while supporting long-term ESG goals?
The smartest warehouse isn't the one with the most technology.
It's the one with the right technology.
If autonomous technology could solve your biggest operational challenge tomorrow, where would you start? We'd love to hear your thoughts.
