Lipofer is a water dispersible micronized source of iron that has been microencapsulated to enhance iron absorption and to reduce undesirable organoleptic attributes. Lipofer has reduced metallic taste and is highly bioavailable. Controlled interactions of iron were shown in Lipofer with other components, and show no digestive tract irritation.
