FOTON CUMMINS, SINCE 2006

At present, Foton Cummins Engine Company Limited(BFCEC) owns Cummins F 2.8L and 3.8L light-duty, 4.5L medium-duty, G 10.5L and 11.8L heavy-duty diesel engines, with a total investment of over 4.9 billion yuan and an annual output of 520,000 units, would meet a broad variety of global market requirements and emissions standards.


FOTON DAIMLER, SINCE 2003

Foton Motor and the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer German Daimler Group have established a joint venture with Beijing Futian Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. The joint venture company operates under the Futian Auman brand, which produces the Auman heavy truck products and the OM457 heavy truck engines with Daimler licensing emissions standards and powers that reach Euro V and 490 horsepower, respectively.


FOTON ZF

FOTON established a joint venture with top 1 driveline and chassis technology supplier ZF to produce high-end intelligent transmission case for both light-duty and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

Phase 1 of the transmission case for light-duty commercial vehicle will be put into operation on the first day of January 2019 with an annual output of 160,000. and Phase 2 will be built and put into operation on the first day of January 2020 with an annual output of 320,000. Phase 1 of heavy-duty project will be put into operation on the first day of January 2019 with an annual output of 115,000 auto transmission cases and 20,000 retarders. while phase 2 will be put into operation on the first day of January 2022, with an annual output of 190,000 heavy transmission cases and 40,000 retarders.


FOTON GLOBAL INNOVATION ALLIANCE

As the environmental problems have become increasingly prominent around the world, FOTON joined hands with global well-known enterprises including Cummins, ZF, CEVA Logistics, FAURECIA, WABCO, Continental, and Rheinland and founded a China Intelligent Connected Super Truck Alliance (CICSA) in June 2016, aiming at making technology breakthrough and building energy-saving, green and intelligently connected automobile products.

As the initiator of the alliance, FOTON proposed a Super Truck Plan. According to the plan, FOTON had made efforts for 4 years and built the first super truck in accordance with Euro R&D criteria --- AUMAN EST, which was launched globally in September 2016. The truck has been verified via 10 million km real road test. The brand-new 208 technologies and 4 modules (body, chassis, powertrain, and electrical system) reduce fuel consumption by 5-10%, reduce carbon emission by 10-15% and improve transport efficiency by 30%; the intelligent driving assistance, 1,500,000km service life of B10, and extended service interval at 100,000km

2014~2017

To build efficient, intelligent and connected super trucks to reduce fuel consumption by 30% (or pure electric), reduce carbon emission by 30% (or zero) and improve transport efficiency by 70%.

To build an industrial ecology of global intelligent connected vehicles for innovative upgrading and development.

To build and develop global intelligent traffic and smart cities.
