History

AirBlast (M) Sdn Bhd started business in 1995, a year after the established WEBLAST brand of products.

In the earlier years, WEBLAST’s shot blasting machines catered to few companies that are contractors in painting works. We support our clients in blasting facilities set up; most of them purchased it for their business, some companies prefer a rented machine for a specific project.

The first project we participated in 1996 on a joint production basis with the then Prima Coating. This project is the construction of an oil storage tank farm in Pulau Indah owned by Mobil. PRIMA has now become one of the successful players in the corrosion protection coating  sector. This contractor has a total of 6 blasting machines in business.

Another contractor company that uses blasting machines extensively is KCS Coating. It started investing in a reconditioned used machine in 2005 and has since gone on to own a total of 5 machines. This company has stayed on as inhouse contractor for Oriental Steel Pipe - a major pipe pile maker in the region. The next successful world player in global pipe piling is ESCPILE that has one of WEBLAST blasting machines installed in UAE for its project there in the year 2008.

Then there is this COLOR SHIELD company doing blasting and coating works with us since the construction years of KL International Airport in 2007. We worked with plant fabricators among others in projects such as the Tanjung Bin Power Plant Construction.

We worked with blasting and painting companies as consultants & suppliers in a facility needed for a blasting job.

WEBLAST supplies new machines to any kind of blasting production needs; for permanent set up in a production plant or for mobilization to a project site. We can often mobilize in short notice to assist our client in starting a project quickly while waiting for a new machine under order that is still in production, by renting out our ready machines for short term use.

Do not attempt to fabricate your own DIY equipment without seeking expert advice as it might burnt your pocket and ruin your project if done improperly. Do it safely within budget with a design that is workable for a worthwhile return in your investment. Examples of a ruined project done improperly are many and indeed a bad experience for those who tried.
 
An old Wheelabrator machine from the USA became a waste metal scrap after a failed DIY attempt by a buyer appointing his own worker to reassemble the machine without any given technical references.

It would be right to begin a DIY project with an acquired knowledge first. Then proceed to find someone who is competent in completing the job and finally commission it for blasting production. We can advise you how it would be done step by step and you can make a decision to spend money on it later.
