What is Oral Spa?

In abc Dental Center, we are introducing Oral Spa, which is a combination of cleaning your teeth & gums in comfort, as well as prevention of further decay with the application of fluoride.
 

How does Oral Spa(Scaling and fluoride application) work?

As mentioned, it is comprised of Scaling (EMS AirFlow and Ultrasonic) plus fluoride application. Our cutting edge technology, EMS AirFlow is efficient in removing difficult stain and plaque. Ultrasonic is good at removing thick and tough calculus that builds-up over time. Last but not least, applying a layer of fluoride helps to strenghten your teeth from tooth decay! 


Is scaling painful?

At abc Dental Center we aim to provide unprecedented comfort with an almost painless approach to deliver excellent care. Scaling is generally not painful, but in certain cases, we may need to go deep into the pockets of the gum to clean and remove the plaque and calculus. Patient may feel slight discomfort from the deep scaling. 

Will you bleed after getting Oral Spa(Scaling) treatment ?

Whether you bleed or not depends on how well you brush on a daily basis and how often you attend regular maintainance such as scaling at a dental clinic. Bleeding after scaling is a normal occurence and majority of people bleed even when they brush. Bleeding after scaling is due to inflamed gums. 



Why do we need to clean our gums and teeth?
 
We clean our gums to prevent infection of the gums. The food that we consume daily get stuck easily between the tight contact of our teeth. Some areas of the teeth are not easily accessible by normal tooth brush. As time goes by, the food debries build up around you teeth and gums! They may get harden and tough, forming calculus, which cant be remove by simple brushing. Only scaling can help getting rid of them!

 
What are the signs and symtoms of an infected gum?

A normal gum will be pinkish and smooth. However, if you have an infected gum, it will be swelled up and look reddish! Your gums may bleed easily during brushing too. And the most obvious sign is to feel pain on your gums! 
If your gums are showing all these signs, it is time to get some scaling done! 


What is fluoride for?

Fluoride is a component that provide extra protection for your teeth from tooth decay. Here in abc Dental Center, we fapply fluoride varnish on your teeth directly following scaling treatment, ensuring maximum protection for your teeth!
