Inductive rotary position sensors are non-contact sensors using the R-L-C principle of operation with a choice of analog, incremental, SSI, or CANopen interface.

Optical encoders are available in shaft or hollow shaft, a variety of sizes and interfaces including incremental outputs and absolute protocols.

Magnetic encoders are available in shaft or hollow shaft.

Draw wire (or cable pull) are mechanically operated devices with measuring ranges up to 40 M.
