Top 3 Customer Questions & Concerns
How do I configure the wiring? This is a modular kit, meaning the pins are not pre-set. You must refer to your device's technical manual and push the color-coded pins into the DB15 holes that match your required pinout. Note that once the pins click into place, they are difficult to remove!
Is this compatible with internet data? No. While it uses an RJ45 port, this is a passive analog adapter. It will not convert a serial signal into a digital network signal (TCP/IP). It simply uses the copper wires inside a network cable as a bridge for serial data.
Can I use this for a VGA monitor? While DB15 is the physical size used by VGA, this adapter is generally intended for serial data. Standard VGA signals often require more than the 8 wires provided by an RJ45 port for full high-resolution support.
