Golden Shrimp Rolls With AjiDo Bonito Teriyaki Sauce
Ingredients:
- Whole shrimp (peeled, deveined, tail optional)
- Sesame oil
- Salt
- White pepper
- Popia (spring roll) skin
- AjiDo Teriyaki Bonito sauce (for dipping)
- Oil for frying
Method:
1. Prep the shrimp
- Pat shrimp completely dry (very important for crispiness).
- Lightly marinate with:
- A drizzle of sesame oil
- Pinch of salt
- Dash of white pepper
- Let sit 10–15 minutes
2. Wrap
- Place shrimp near one edge of the popia skin.
- Roll tightly, keeping it snug around the shrimp.
- Seal edge with a bit of water.
3. Fry
- Heat oil to medium (about 170°C).
- Fry until:
- Skin = golden and blistered
- Shrimp = just cooked (about 2–3 minutes)
