Southern Latex Products Sdn. Bhd. continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainability and climate responsibility through continuous capacity building and industry engagement. In line with this commitment, selected officers from the company participated in the GHG Emission Assessment Training & Coaching Programme, held on 1–2 April at the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC).
This programme provided comprehensive exposure to the principles and methodologies of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting, including the identification, calculation, and reporting of Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions. Through a combination of technical sessions and guided coaching, participants gained practical knowledge on applying internationally recognised frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, enabling a more structured and accurate approach to emissions management.
The training also emphasized the importance of data collection, emission factor application, and the development of internal monitoring systems to support transparent and credible reporting. These insights are particularly valuable in supporting Southern Latex Products’ ongoing efforts to enhance its sustainability reporting practices and align with global environmental standards.
Participation in this programme reflects the company’s proactive approach in equipping its workforce with the necessary skills and knowledge to address climate-related challenges. Moving forward, Southern Latex Products aims to integrate these learnings into its operational processes, further strengthening its environmental performance and contributing to a low-carbon future.
