Heavy rain crashed relentlessly onto the roof, the downpour loud enough to drown out every other sound. The force of the water exposed weak points in the structure, threatening to seep through aging tiles and overwhelm the gutters. Without proper care, the storm could have caused leaks, wood rot, and damage to the ceiling below.
But the roof was protected. Reinforced waterproofing kept most of the rain from penetrating the surface, while clear, well-maintained gutters guided the overflowing water safely away from the house. Storm guards at vulnerable edges prevented backflow, and sturdy flashing sealed off joints where rain usually forced its way in. Even as the storm battered the roof, the protective measures absorbed the impact, reducing the harm and keeping the interior safe.
